NY Times Editorial Board Defends Fetal Trafficking Scandal

July 22, 2015 by Alan Moore

The New York Times today released a hateful editorial defending the fetal trafficking practices of abortion giant Planned Parenthood. The piece employs “war on women” rhetoric, an attack on the producers of the recent sting operation, and a battle cry against Republicans seeking to investigate the organization.

The editorial failed to utilize any investigative journalism or address the potential federal statutes that are allegedly being violated. It did, however, launch a contemptuous attack against politicians horrified by the baby part selling practice exposed in the recently released videos. Reminiscent of the “war on women” mantra used by the Left in the last presidential election cycle, the Times declares:

“The politicians howling to defund Planned Parenthood care nothing about the truth here, being perfectly willing to undermine women’s reproductive rights any way they can.”

The editorial then attempts to discredit the makers of the video, the Center for Medical Progress, arguing that they have “participated in anti-abortion protests” and worked with other pro-life organizations – thus disqualifying them from criticizing Planned Parenthood. The article also paints the pro-life organization as “dishonest” and guilty of “deception” in their practices, while arguing for the legality of selling body parts:

“The Center for Medical Progress video campaign is a dishonest attempt tomake legal, voluntary and potentially lifesaving tissue donations appear nefarious and illegal. Lawmakers responding by promoting their own anti-choice agenda are rewarding deception and putting women’s health and their constitutionally protected rights at risk.”

The Times’ editorial did not mention the haggling for “specimens” obtained in a “less crunchy” abortion technique purported by Dr. Mary Gatter, Planned Parenthood Medical Directors’ Council president. Nor did they reference Planned Parenthood senior director of medical services Dr. Deborah Nucatola giving a detailed explanation of how her organization engages in the practice of procuring and selling the body parts of aborted children.

Last year, Planned Parenthood received $528.4 million in federal funds. Theyperformed 327,653 abortions.
