Uncommon Sense

politics and society are, unfortunately, much the same thing

Apparently not all hate speech is the same

At St. Lawrence College in Ontario, Canada a professor has been fired for anti-gay comments.

Professor Is Out Following Investigation Into Anti-Gay Facebook Post

Contrast this episode (where the article’s author makes no mention of any concern for academic freedom) with other American incidents of hate speech by college professors:

Memphis professor behind racist tweets resurfaces at crosstown school

Selective respect for academic freedom in higher education
(Zandria Robinson says things like white people are conditioned to commit mass murder)

Can a professor be a full fledged idiot, too? Watch political pandering masquerading as scholarship

High school progressives rely on bullying to fight against bullying

Racist Boston U prof busted again, this time for trolling white rape victim

Lincoln University has a common progressive policy as well: defending hate speech when uttered by a non-white.

Public University Professor Blasts ‘Dirty Jewish Zionist Thugs,’ ‘Homo Lobby,’ and ‘Sluts’

In this case, a Muslim professor can attack multiple groups and get a pass. In fact, as opposed to St. Lawrence College, this is Lincoln University’s policy on hate speech uttered by non-whites:

Like all faculty members, he is entitled to express his personal views in conversation or in public forums, as long as he does not present such opinions as views of the University.

A progressive culture does not allow diversity of thought among white people. Elitist progressives have one set of rules for their beliefs and a different set for dissenting beliefs. Do we need a separation between school and state?
