  1. Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I have yet to hear about this book. I am extremely excited to learn more. Is it weird that I don’t know exactly how I feel about it, and I am extremely pro-choice? It’s super-heavy for kids, and I wonder how adults will explain it, but I understand its need to be written. Hmm…I am going to re-blog this. Cheers!

This article is written by Katie Yoder on newsbusters.org, I found it on the blog “Uncommon Sense” and reposted it here. It’s about a children’s book narrated by three-year-old protagonist Lee whose mother had an abortion prior to having him/her – the “ghost sister”. Heavy, right?? I am so confused on how I feel about it! At first, I was like WHAT THE FUCK is wrong with people? How could a story be written about that for KIDS? But as I thought about it more – in my very pro-choice mind – I felt it and understood it in my very pro-choice heart. Thoughts??
