Textbook example of how to deal with a school shooter

While some would ignore any evidence to the contrary, there are actually examples of how to deal with a school shooter once the situation is under way. We have hear, from a Tennessee high school in 2010, an example of the NRA’s recommendation of stopping mass murder at a school. And it worked.

But how is that possible? Cops, stopping a killer? Puh-lease! As a matter of fact, for those willing to acknowledge it, there are many law enforcement officers who say gun free zones invite murderers.

It seems we have two very different approaches to finding “what works”. One idea is to reduce or prevent mass murder at schools (such as by having armed police at schools), while the other is devoted to reducing the availability of guns. While in theory reducing availability of guns reduces killings, it doesn’t actually work that way. Believe it or not, there are people in the world who break the law – no matter how many guns laws there are.
